The plan was to spend a few fall days shooting in the Sierra before a week long workshop in Yosemite. Unfortunately I became terribly ill the first day. However this shot made it not a total loss. Late afternoon; overcast sky.

A wonderful composition, so characterful the old structure set against the lush foliage. Hope you're fully recovered now

I have looked at all these autumn pictures and they are a fine collection, but this one is simply stunning.

I looked on your portfolio and saw this shot, had to travel back in your blog to find it. Perhaps one of the best fall scenes I have seen on aminus. I'd like to hole up in that little place and read a book, takes pictures, draw and listen to music. Oh, what's that? "Mom, can you help me with my homework?" I guess the trip to the little fall shanty will have to wait!

Oh, this isn't real is it? You've taken a photo of one of your dreams! Its so beautiful, like a fairytale. The fall colors are amazing and the little house so romantic! Sorry to read that you got ill, but you've got at least this beautiful image to remember.

@Monique: Thanks, Monique. I created a 13x19 in print from this and it is framed and over our family room fireplace. This was a fabulous day for photographing. I did hate to lose my $1800 for the workshop; it could have been used for a D700.
