Alivia from Saint-Etienne, Franceun soleil pour faire pâlir le vrai, d'un jaune étincelant. 16 Jan 2009 9:25am Lesley from Lincoln, United StatesWonderful! I love to photograph sunflowers, as well. It must be my love for the contrast between the yellow petals and the blue sky that keep me taking so many even though I already have dozens in my files. 16 Jan 2009 11:48am @Lesley: Les, I'm with you; there is something very special about sunflowers. One of the best parts about the Tour de France is seeing the riders go by the fields of sunflowers. mo.langel from Courtelary, SwitzerlandMagnifique soleil, il tombe bien, c'est tout gris chez nous, il ne fait pas beau! 16 Jan 2009 11:49am @Steve Rice: Ah, yes; some day Spring, and even Summer, will come. EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United KingdomSo magnificently captured against the glorious summer sky, a delightful portrait of vibrant colour and beauty, Jack. 16 Jan 2009 4:55pm @EYES WIDE SHUT: You call yourself "no photographer, merely a 'Happy Snapper'"; that is utter nonsense. You an extremely fine photographer. But to the point here, no-one gives more thoughtful comments on aminus3 than you do. You don't just whip off words like beautiful, extraordinary, lovely, etc.; you clearly have taken in the photograph and anything the photographer may have said. That is a powerful honoring and affirming of the photographer. As you can see from being on aminus3 a very short time, you have a whole slew of people who connect with you and appreciate you and your work. Thank you. zahai from Berlin, GermanyBeautiful colors and composition. So full of warmth...exactly what i need on this grey day :) 16 Jan 2009 4:57pm @zahai: You read my mind as to why I posted this photograph. There have been superb winter scenes on aminus3, but a little sign of brighter days is often welcome. Francesc B. from région parisienne, FranceYes !... a big sun on my house... with beautiful vivid colors. 16 Jan 2009 5:56pm Ana Lúcia from Leiria, PortugalNo need for the sun as you have provided your own sun. Nice shot. 16 Jan 2009 6:05pm k@ from Paris, FranceIncredible here too ! What a smiling girl ! Love her haircut ;o) Seriously, "she" seems so much alive, with an expression, you turned a sun flower into some happy person ! And that light - wow* 16 Jan 2009 6:46pm Lydie et Roland from BESANCON, FranceYEAH !!! How good is this sun in our grey and cold winter days... Thank you Jack ! 16 Jan 2009 7:06pm Querques from Palleja, SpainOh yeah! I like the contrast between blue and yellow! Toni from Eastern Washington, United StatesI love sunflowers. I posted several this summer - even one whose blossom hadn't opened yet. It was really cool, if I do say so myself. =) Thanks for the reminder - I needed it today, as I was slipping and sliding on the icy roads and parking lot at work. 17 Jan 2009 6:28am bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaAbsolutely joyous! My favourite flower on the planet...you can't help but smile and feel happy when seeing them :) 17 Jan 2009 2:02pm @bluechameleon: It's amazing the way such a simple flower can bring so much joy. Mobius Faith from Akron, Ohio,, United StatesA delightfully warm and sunny image added to my day.
