Nice photo! The morning mist is beautiful, and the lane looks inviting. And it looks like there might be interesting folk to meet along the way. :)

Beautiful compositon with the lamp post and bench. The fog in the distance only adds to this beautiful image. Well captured John.

@Barbara: Barbara, All my life I was John until I retired, and even then, I was John until I got into digital and decided to become Jack for my photography. When we moved to Corvallis last September, I became Jack in our new community. When people call me John, I tend to not even be aware of it. Furthermore, I really don't care!

This is pretty incredible Jack. It's a well composed image on its own but with that woman strutting along in her scrubs, it provides the viewer with a marker to see just how immense those trees are. I originally thought the trees were much smaller ... well done!

@Scott Schilling: Thanks, Scott. (I am really glad to have gotten connected with your excellent work. All of the D3 owners that I know are pretty serious about photography. Interacting with you earlier about Point Lobos, I have bicycled the spectacular Big Sur area numerous times; it's always a high point of any jaunt down the West Coast. When I moved to the Bay Area in 1962, for years I headed to the Monterey Peninsula just to stand on the rocks and feel the salt spray. Most of my working life was spent in the Bay Area - Fremont, Cupertino, San Rafael.)

@JJ: If someone hadn't told me about that spotlight thing, JJ, I wouldn't have known. All of my time on aminus3 is spent looking at people's work, commenting on it, responding to some of the comments on my work (although not responding nearly as much as I would like) and interacting with what has become a core community for me.

I didn't notice the nurse at first... but once you do it totally changes this image from excellent to extraordinary. I could wax philosophical about the metaphor of life being so grand, that we're just specs in the cosmos.... but I won't ;-) It's an image that moves me in many directions and I think it's outstanding!

I love the fog here, and the scrub wearing individual adds so much, even though such a minute part of the photo. Hope he/she changes before the next "open heart".

This is so moody and pleasing. I never get to take fog shots where I live. It's one of the few drawbacks of perpetual nice weather (I know, we all have our problems). You've made the most of this scene.
