Shade Tree and PorchPosted by john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 8 March 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Houses with these magnificent porches are wonderful. And that massive shade tree will be very welcome this summer. Antique sepia seemed just right.

There is a certain kind of "Gone With The Wind" kind of romance to this...lovely! 8 Mar 2009 1:39pm Don from spokane, United StatesIt is rare, these days, to see someone building a house with porches all around the outside. Where I came from the "bug" problem was serious enough to warrant screening porches in, but they look best, to me, when open like this one. This is a beautiful, large home and with this toning and the vignetting it makes a fine picture. 8 Mar 2009 2:02pm Barbara from Florida, United StatesEverything about this image is perfect, the composition, sephia tone, and soft edges. 8 Mar 2009 2:08pm Observing from North West, United KingdomVintage indeed.... it looks just like an original old picture..! 8 Mar 2009 3:38pm Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United Statesgreat composition...and i love the treatment you gave it....lovely result!!! and porch looks of many lovely summer evenings to come,,,, 8 Mar 2009 5:10pm JJ from Jersey City, United StatesFantastic shot and processing with the vignette, such a grand old house, must be nice on the porch in summer with the shade of the tree 8 Mar 2009 5:48pm Ajay from Pune, IndiaLike a fairy from grandma's drawer saying... The house an porch seems secondary to the magnitude of the shade tree. 8 Mar 2009 9:05pm Denise from Perry, United StatesBEautiful house, nice processing.
