Great capture of the wildlife of the forest!
My first thought was how charming a place, I love the green mossy limbs and the colors of that wood walk over. Then I saw Beau and laughed. The capture of his white and posture of his step is so perfect. This is really a great shot.

Cute shot...great colors....beau seems so proud in his exploration...did you know that this dog breed was one great hunter companion way back in the old days...his flair was outstanding....i myself was quite surprise to read about it..

@Jen: The Old Growth Forest trailhead is at Lewisburg Saddle about 12 minutes north of where we live in Corvallis. It's in a larger Nature Preserve. When you leave the trailhead, you have about a 10 min. walk before veering off into the Old Growth area. It is a truly holy place; a place for solace and meditation. If you can't regain your sanity in the Old Growth Forest, you are in deep trouble.

Oh this is great that your little dog (Beau, right) is on the path. The image with its texture and rich colour are so appealing but with the dog in there, we get perspective, life, with a bit of the seriousness withdrawn -- great stuff.
