Golden Bluff

Just so everyone knows, the light in this series has not been warmed up or manipulated in post-processing. The evening shots are the way it was. Late afternoon golden light is typical along the Oregon Coast. Most of the color on the bluff is the color of the soil. Note that there is not too much of a golden cast on the driftwood.

I was down on the Oregon coast last weekend and it rained pretty much the entire time. Wish I could have had some light like this.

Hi Jack, congratulations on another great shot. I like the lighting on this one, and the way it darkens over to the right hand side. The colours are amazing I feel like I really was there. Great photo.

@EYES WIDE SHUT: As I finally added to my intro, most of the color on the bluff was the soil, more so than the light. I get a kick out of passing on fun stuff that comes across my screen.

A fine beach scene that benefits greatly from the golden glow along the coast. The Oregon coast from one end to the other is beautifully scenic and loaded with picture opportunities. I must get back there soon....!

Stunning! Well composed capture. The natural light is beautiful. This natural light (and yesterday's) remind me of the tone cast just before or after a hurricane has passed somewhere near Florida. It really is remarkable.
Your outdoor images are like fine art. Sorry I couldn't resist, I read the link. Entertaining.
One reason I shoot alone, I like to take in the feeling and emotion to capture it in an image.

@Donna: Until we moved to Corvallis last September, I generally saw the Oregon Coast from a bicycle while touring. Now I just plant myself in one gorgeous spot for hours (days) at a time. Thanks for your kind words.
