@Barbara: Thanks, Barb. We had fabulous weather on both recent trips to the Coast. On the first trip we had overcast the second day, but it made for some lovely shots.

I like Scott's reference to "Godbeams", for that is how I see them also. Rays like these are so beautiful over water and this is simply gorgeous.
Yours are the reverse of my sunrise rays posted last Monday, and with totally different colors.

What a Goodbye! When my kids were little, they called the beams "Miracle Light" and they believed that wherever you could see these, a miracle was happening....They never knew how right they were! (They are now 17 & 21... I wonder if they still believe?)

@alireza: Yes, there is some noise in the dark clouds. Thanks for pointing it out, but I'm too lazy at this point to take out. This is what happens with a low grade jpeg; I'll be more careful with my settings next time.
