New Flower for Me

I had not before seen this flower that is in our new back yard, but my wife says that it is not uncommon. It has a marvelous fragrance. (Oh my, it's daphne; that's not new to me!!)

@chrissy: It's daphne, Chrissy; it has a sweet odor that fills the entire area of the garden. There are lots of blossoms on a single bush.

Beautiful, and what a lovely surprise to find it in your backyard. I've not seen or smelled the fragrance, but I have heard of Daphne. So I have learned something from your image.

Nice colors. For the camera settings I assume that it was quite dark. It must have been difficult to get it!

@xavier cardell: I had to bump the ISO up to 400, and slow down the shutter speed to 1/60 sec.

Hi Jack, sounds like I need to find myself a Daphne bush...... I love any flowering bush with a strong scent. Thank is why I love Jasmine and me favourite flower to photograpy..... the Frangipani...... off to search for a Daphne now... Oh and your photo, says it all, superb and great capture,
