The Coast in April

We were back at the Coast a week ago for our April overnight. We stayed at a new place that is even closer to the water. This photograph was taken a few yards from our rooms. We got every kind of weather you can imagine, including waking up in the morning to a skiff of snow.

The B&W conversion yesterday was done with Nik's Silver Efex Pro, which can now be used as a plug-in with Lightroom as well as Photoshop. It gives you tremendous control; there is nothing else equal to it on the market. And it works seamlessly with Lightroom (unlike onOne's plug-ins which seem to crash all of the time; but they do work fine with Photoshop).

@Suzanne: This is taken at high tide. Actually there are lots of places to walk barefoot in the sand; many of them even at high tide.

Hey Jack, Nice picture. I have a similar one that I passed to B&W, I strongly recommend you to try it. Once you do it try to add some contrast only to the sky and clouds. See what happens ;-)

Thanks, Jack. I should have known. I use to frequent the site but haven't been there in sometime. I appreciate the reminder to return to it.
I have other sites for daily notices of inspiration and thoughts but would enjoy OM again.

@Barbara: Like most of these daily meditation offerings, some are more helpful than others. My best meditation is simply peace and quiet; that's one of the reasons that I get up between 5&5:30 a.m.
