To add to what Eisenhourer said, this is the Craig version: War is bullsh&*. It is what one political leader does to another political leader. Usually has nothing to do with the people. 10 Jun 2009 8:39am Isabelle from Liège, BelgiumYes, you're right, the place looks great !!! Nice B&W photo ! 10 Jun 2009 9:14am Sarah from SwitzerlandWow - this is def 5 stars and belongs in a book! Great work, Jack. 10 Jun 2009 9:26am Alivia from Saint-Etienne, Francethe arch that opens into the exterior, we are like in a cave and there is a universe away, but in fact the arch is just the transition to another world view, I like this image with its successive plans , the B & W transports us into a more cold, inhospitable and almost wild, into the wild! with dark colors and rocks. bravo Jack 10 Jun 2009 9:32am @Alivia: Thank you, Dane. xavier cardell from menorca-barcelona, SpainFraming inside a frame, a natural frame in this ocasion. Excellent presentation, Jack. 10 Jun 2009 5:00pm Yvonne Simons from Tilburg, NetherlandsThis is a gorgeous landscape, I'm curious about this picture in color. 10 Jun 2009 5:15pm @Yvonne Simons: Go to my Portfolio. If you scroll down, you will see a portion of the thumbnail. The date that it was posted was January 30, 2009. LauraS from Chico, United StatesAs much as I like this composition, I think it needs more contrast. Seems a bit dreary, dark, too gray. 10 Jun 2009 5:28pm Rand from Orem, United StatesI like how the B&W really brings out the texture in the arch. 10 Jun 2009 7:31pm @Rand: There is something about converting red rock to B&W that is very appealing. Marie-Hélène Ammor from Casablanca/Paris, MoroccoBeautiful! the texture of rocks is fantastic ! 10 Jun 2009 7:48pm marc battault from clermont ferrand, Franceexcellent framing! black and white contrasts and a superb image, jack! 10 Jun 2009 8:15pm jeff (aka dogilicious) from Millerstown, PA, United StatesI like the way that twisting rock completely changes the effect of the natural light. I really like the dark tones and texture of the rock. 11 Jun 2009 1:26am Barbara from Florida, United StatesNature is wonderful! 11 Jun 2009 2:00am @Barbara: Thanks, Barb. Monique from Koh Samui, ThailandThe framing is really beautiful and it's a great and rough landscape. I like the way you can look through the rocks in the foreground into the distance. I have to say I miss the black and white colors in this B&W version, it looks a bit flat gray and with a bit more contrast the structure of the plants and rocks will be more visible. 11 Jun 2009 4:50am @Monique: Thanks for your input. It actually prints beautifully which is my ultimate arbiter (I just went and double-checked a print of this that I have). Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaAs lovely as it was the first time I saw it, it's kick ass on my brand new laptop, Oh My God, it's a KEEPER 11 Jun 2009 10:37am Sarah Schneider Photography from Lancaster, United StatesI like this B&W..what an amazing view. =) 11 Jun 2009 8:32pm dj.tigersprout from New York City, United Stateswonderful downward motion in this frame!! beautiful light and textures too!! 12 Jun 2009 4:08am Silverado Photography from Clearlake, United StatesOutstanding and the quote could not be repeated often enough. 13 Jun 2009 4:31am Aurore from Paris, FranceFraming, details, grey tones... everything's perfet here !! 14 Jun 2009 12:05am Aurore from Paris, FranceAnd i didn't know Eisenhower's quotation but it should be written everywhere.
