Backyard LiliesPosted by john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 27 June 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. Our yard these days is an extravaganza of color. Three different colored lilies are in super abundance. Here is the red one. LIGHTING WORKSHOP in Portland today. Maybe as the result, I will move beyond using almost exclusively available light. Except for needing fill flash, the D700 lets me get away with that. "The subject matter is so much more important than the photographer."

You did use flash, didn't you? The light shines on just the right areas and leaves the rest dark. 4 Jul 2009 9:25pm @Anita: Nope; no flash on these. |
