Backyard Lilies

Our yard these days is an extravaganza of color. Three different colored lilies are in super abundance. Here is the red one.

LIGHTING WORKSHOP in Portland today. Maybe as the result, I will move beyond using almost exclusively available light. Except for needing fill flash, the D700 lets me get away with that.

I like the use of flash in this image. You did use flash, didn't you? The light shines on just the right areas and leaves the rest dark.
