willow from Chelsea, United States

There's a wonderful, magical feel to this image. Nicely done - can't wait to see tomorrow's!

1 Feb 2009 5:42am

@willow: Thank you. This magical park is a block away from our house. (In reference to your comment about yesterday's photograph, I grew up in the South, but have lived in the West all of my adult life.)

bluechameleon from Vancouver, Canada

Jack, this is just amazing. It reminds me of something out of a fairy tale. There is so much expression in those branches. Beautiful.

1 Feb 2009 5:48am

@bluechameleon: Thanks, Sharon. The park is officially called, "Woodland Meadow," but everyone calls it the "Dog Park" because you can let your dogs go unleashed; there is a great community of dogs that gather each day.

jamesy from christchurch, New Zealand

EYES WIDE SHUT from United Kingdom

Those limb-like branches reaching out from the body, always fascinate me. Every tree has an indivif=dual character, which is why I love photographing them so much. A lovely shot, Jack, with the gentle mist rolling in from the background to envelope the scene. Beaitifully observed

@EYES WIDE SHUT: Thanks, Paul.

Mysterious scene. Also mysterious to think how change of weather will make it look different.

1 Feb 2009 6:27am

@Ajay: Actually it will be a different scene tomorrow, Ajay; but in the same area, just a couple of miles apart. It was the weather that changed so drastically.
