Bee & Blossom

Posted by
john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 28 February 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

This is one of my earliest macro shots after I entered the world of digital in 2005.

At the center of the Universe is a loving heart that continues to beat and
that wants the best for every person. Anything that we can do to help
foster the intellect and spirit and emotional growth of our fellow human
beings, that is our job. Those of us who have this particular vision must
continue against all odds. Life is for service."

Exquisite shot. Great overall sharpness for a macro.

28 Feb 2009 7:50am

@Suzanne: Thanks, Suzanne. I think that P&S macros tend have more overall sharpness than DSLRs do (even with a macro lens).

love the saturation. Great capture with this bee on the apple blossom. (people must have been thinking similar thoughts in posting flowers for today ... I have another flower posted for Monday or Tuesday I think so I was off the mark :) )

Talk about timing to get that bee busy working away. I have a series of shots of a bee from last year getting inside one of my clematis buds. I'll dig it out closer to spring. The light in this adds to a spring feel. Very cheerful!

28 Feb 2009 4:48pm

@Diane Schuller: Thanks, Diane.
