Skunk Cabbage

Posted by
john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 16 March 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

On the way to the Coast last week, we took a side trip up the Alsea River Canyon. The Skunk Cabbage were in bloom.

Here's an old interview with Ansel Adams that is fun to watch

What hurts the victim most is not the cruelty of the oppressor but the silence of the bystander.

Holocaust survivor and Nobel laureate

This is a beautiful close up that shows the yellow so well. Excellent image. I thoroughly enjoyed the Ansel Adams interview. I was fortunate to have been in several of Ansel's workshops in the mid 70s. It was
very exciting to be in his darkroom and see him print. I didn't learn much, but it was a huge motivation toward being serious about my pictures.

16 Mar 2009 3:04pm

@don: Adams was a driving force behind my photography in the 60s; I was living in the Bay Area.
