Just so everyone knows, the light in this series has not been warmed up or manipulated in post-processing. The evening shots are the way it was. Late afternoon golden light is typical along the Oregon Coast. Most of the color on the bluff is the color of the soil. Note that there is not too much of a golden cast on the driftwood.

"Our ultimate freedom is the right and power to decide how anybody or
anything outside ourselves will affect us."

@Darin: Sorry, Darin; it's a real crap shoot this time of the year.
@BoB: It is very relaxing!
@[email protected]: Oh my k, she is incredibly generous! I love the "whole" palette!!
@dogilicious: When later we have the morning light, everything is dramatically different, but that is a few days off.
@EYES WIDE SHUT: As I finally added to my intro, most of the color on the bluff was the soil, more so than the light. I get a kick out of passing on fun stuff that comes across my screen.
@Sof: Thank you. Photography is indeed all about light.
@Michael Rawluk: So well put, Michael!
@Monique: There is nothing like, Monique!
@LauraS: Thank you, Laura. Good for you for noticing the sky. I did my cross check on the driftwood.
@ordinaryimages: Ah yes, the golden years! The age of unbridled shooting, shooting, shooting!!
@kerfendal: Thanks, Max. It's a great spot.
@Barbara: Thank you, Barbara. Your last sentence in your Comment is an absolute jewel. You eloquently describe my own position. The major downside for me in field workshops is that you lose that.
@Alivia: You embarrass me with your kindness, Dane.
@Richard_Irwin: Outstanding! That's something worth sharing!
@Donna: Until we moved to Corvallis last September, I generally saw the Oregon Coast from a bicycle while touring. Now I just plant myself in one gorgeous spot for hours (days) at a time. Thanks for your kind words.
@Anna.C: a pure moment of happiness ! Absolutely!!!
@Laurie: The orange and gold in the soil greatly impact the shot.
@JJ: What is a Giclee print, JJ?
@Cricket-Tammy: Much of it really is the soil, Tammy; the light just magnifies it.
