Good Friday

Posted by
john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 10 April 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Christians around the world observe Good Friday today. Since compassion, mercy and forgiveness are at the the heart of the meaning of Good Friday, this anonymous quote seemed appropriate. "Forgiveness saves the expense of anger, the cost of hatred, and the waste of energy."

Silver Efex Pro is now available for Lightroom. All of the 3 Nik plug-ins now available for LR work superbly.

@[email protected]: Thank you, K. I have loved to photograph flowers, especially wild flowers, from as far back as the 60s. I was a passionate backpacker in the high mountains of the North American West; and I marveled at the delicate beauty of those flowers.

Barbara from Florida, United States

I'm very selective in liking flower images in B&W and this one is by far the best I've seen. It is very suitable for B&W. I like the softness and selective focus too. I would have it framed and hanging on my wall, I like it that much. Very nice, Jack.

10 Apr 2009 1:50pm

@Barbara: Thank you, Barb. I am always hesitant to convert flowers to B&W, but every now and then, the B&W version is clearly better.
