Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers. (Ellie has all of her boys here today.)

Today begins a series from my Columbia Gorge Workshop. The opener is one of the magical, mystical waterfalls. Please don't ask me its name (I'm terrible with names); all I can tell you is that it's not Multnomah Falls.

@Bill Jennings: Thanks, Bill. What is amazing to me is that I did not need HDR (which I did need for many of the waterfall photographs); the camera was able to capture the full range of light.
@Scott Schilling: Thanks, Scott; you have a wonderful weekend as well.
@Magda: Thank you, Magda; hope that this day is as special as you deserve.
@Mathilde Collot: Thank you, Mathilde.
@lydia: Thank you.
@-C16H25NØ2-: Thank you.
@Craig: I only use HDR when the range of exposure exceeds the capacity of the camera. If I create the so-called HDR effect, it is sheerly for fun.
@Peggy M.: Thank you.
@Lee: Thanks, Lee.
@B. Thomas: Thank you. Barbara. There are an incredible number of waterfalls in this area.
@Denise: Thanks, Denise.
@Don: Thanks, Don. With the heavy snow pack, all of the falls are booming.
@bluechameleon: Thanks, Sharon. With your area getting an even heavier snow pack, all of your falls should be going crazy about now.
@Eric Rousset: Your falls is spectacular, Eric. The falls in my photograph here is definitely not as high as is yours, but I do think that Multnomah Falls well could be.
@Mariana: Magic indeed! Thank you.
@Daniel: It's at the eastern end of the falls area and is close to the road.
@mo.langel: Thank you, Mo.
@Diane Schuller: Thanks, Diane.
@jeff (aka dogilicious): Thanks, Jeff.
@Michael Rawluk: Thanks, Michael.
@Ajay: Thanks, Ajay. It was an incredible beginning to a terrific workshop (the rest of the series is not in chronological order).
@marc battault: Merci, Marc.
@Aurore: Merci, Aurore.
@Susan: Thanks, Susan. Unfortunately I don't remember how much further down it went.
@Yvon: Thank you. Warm hugs.
@Judy: Many thanks from both Ellie and me. Hope that you had a wonderful Mother's Day!
@akarui: Thank you; it was a wonderful place to visit, especially this year with the huge runoff.
@Sof: Merci.
@Vachel: Thank you.
