I prefer the natural colour here, which allows the eye to follow the ribbon of the stream. best...jerry

18 May 2009 2:50pm

@ordinaryimages: Thanks, Jerry. It's interesting how over a period of time, we come to recognize not only a person's style but their preferences; we have a pretty good idea what people are going to say before they say it.

xavier cardell from menorca-barcelona, Spain

You've been really succesful today with your capture. It's a great job. Did you try ISO100 1/2 sec.? Brilliant tripod work

18 May 2009 7:23pm

@xavier cardell: Thanks. No, the D700 works best at ISO200. You can't get this silky look (at least I can't) without a tripod.

observing from North West, United Kingdom

That's a really excellent POV, capturing the falls from high up right down to the forest floor. Super shot.

18 May 2009 7:43pm

@observing: Thanks. The f/22 created the DOF; plus, I focus about 1/3 of the way into the shot. Because I obsess about getting the foreground sharp, I sometimes mess up on the distance sharpness.

dkc from Xanthi, Greece

You are so lucky to be in that beautiful place....We are lucky too to have you here sharing this great photo with us...

18 May 2009 7:54pm
