Book recommendation. All photographers should read David duChemin's "Within The Frame." It is excellent. Definitely a cut above most photography books.

LR2 Seminar (this was supposed to be on yesterday's post; guess I forgot to click "Save and Edit") Kelby was superb in the morning talking about the Library and Develop modules. The seminar bogged down in the afternoon; plus, the Print module got short-changed because of too much time spent on earlier stuff, much of which was not all that significant. One of the best parts was getting insight into Kelby's personal workflow. And I must say that Kelby was unbelievable in the way he spent time answering questions during the breaks and after the seminar was over. I got a couple of questions answered that have been bugging me about LR. Certainly got my money's worth (plus some). (PS - his seminar was better than his books, which is going some.)

@Toni: When I sign up for a workshop, I question the outlay of money (they ain't cheap). But the payback in the improved quality of my photography (and especially when it comes to exploring new territory) almost always justifies the cost.
duChemin's entire approach speaks to what lies deep inside of me.
