Dog Park 4

Posted by john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 26 July 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

For the final shot in the series, it seemed that one of the paths should be included. (Note: as the result of Anna's original comment, I went back and cropped out much of the sky in yesterday's photograph. Once again, Am3 helps us to create better photographs.)

Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United States

This series has been interesting ... thank you for sharing the differing views with us. I love the feeling of cresting the hillside in this one, in all that yellow and bits of Queen Anne's Lace.

@Judy: Thanks, Judy.

Vitor Martins from Lisboa, Portugal

it was just my advice Jack, but I am happy you find it as an interesting suggestion ! I like this composition which includes the path and the little house.

26 Jul 2009 12:34pm

@Anna.C: I wish that more people would make suggestions. I find that about 75% would improve the photograph.

cindy brown from United States

@cindy brown: Thanks.

Don from spokane, United States

A fine composition that is appealing in the way the path curves toward the building. Seems to bid us to come! Nice one.

@Don: And that's the top of the hill.

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

Gorgeous color! I love the path leading us in...

26 Jul 2009 4:14pm

@Tracy: Just to the right of this path (about 5 yds.) is another path that takes us through the great trees which have appeared earlier.

Very nicely put together. The mass of yellow in the green grass makes a nice muted colour.

B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United States

Hi Jack, nice series. FYI - a singer named Jim Salestrom has a nice little song called "Queen Anne's Lace" in his "Music of the Mountains" CD. It might be on i-Tunes. I thought of it when I saw your shots.

@B. Thomas: Thanks, Barb.

I love this place and your images, the clarity and tone is excellent. I like how the path leads you and also balances the image with the barn.
But truthfully, I miss those beautiful pink flowers against the hillside.
I've enjoyed this series, Jack.
