Leaves and MossPosted by john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 14 August 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. This was taken down in the Old Growth Forest. MANY, MANY THANKS to all of you who made such gracious comments on my photographs over the last few days. We returned late Thursday. I will go to work on responding to your comments. From Monday - Thursday, we were at the Coast photographing (harbors, old working boats, sand dunes, sea stacks, lighthouses, botanical gardens, waterfalls, etc., etc.) from dawn til dark. Much fun, but I'm exhausted.

@Lydie et Roland: Merci. @Dulcie: Thanks, Dulcie. @Irene: Merci. @jamesy: Bill's is psychedelic! @Lorraine: Thanks, Lorraine. @Vachel: Thank you. @Susan: Forgot to mention bridges and sea lions. I shot almost 1600 photographs (bracketed shots for HDR take up 5 frames at a whack). @Marie-Hélène Ammor: Merci, Marie. @Judy: Thanks, Judy. You did amazing in camera work on your post today. @marc battault: Merci, Marc. Again, a dynamite macro today. @Betty: Thanks, Betty. Your tractor today reminded me of all of the farm land that went through on our backroads return through the Willamette Valley yesterday. @zOOm: Thanks, Flo. When you are retired as I am, every day is a holiday! @MARIANA: It was a gorgeous day. The Old Growth Forest is always cool on hot summer days. @k@: Merci, Karine. The light tends to be incredible in the Old Growth Forest. @marianne: Merci. @Nicholas: Thanks, Nicholas. @Gary Hart: Yes, I agree. @Lee: Thanks, Lee. @Barbara: Thanks, Barb. The editing job has been monumental. Not only did I end up with way more photographs than I will ever use, but even way more pretty good photographs than I will ever use. You can go to this website to get a taste (not all of the photos are mine, but most are right now), http://photoartsguild.org/web/tiki-browse_gallery.php?galleryId=63 |
