This photograph, sans fog, was taken about 30 minutes before the prior foggy shots.

BANDON CHEESE FACTORY - Through a Google search, I found out that the cheese factory was closed in 2002. Can't believe that I didn't pick up on that when I bicycled through in 2003.

Dulcie from Danville, CA, United States

As this point it looks like a lovely sunny day with great clarity of line and color in your image. (It's interesting to see how fully occupied that little lighthouse appears to be."

28 Aug 2009 5:31am

@Dulcie: Just 30 min. later, everything was socked in fog for an hour or so.

Monique from Koh Samui, Thailand

Such bright colors and I love the light house in the background! To avoid floods I would level the horizon :)

28 Aug 2009 7:57am

@Monique: What you level is the foundation of the lighthouse. There is no real horizon in this shot.

My kind of water shot, Jack ... this is fabulous (5*s) in my opinion!
The cloud bank line adds top interest while the foreground rocks frame the boat and lighthouse!

29 Aug 2009 12:51am

@Tracy: Tomorrow you get the evening shot from the other side of the river.

Steven from Chicagoland, United States

A nice "punch" of warm colors surrounded by the cool blues. It's interesting to see how unlevel the horizon is given how straight up and down the lighthouse is. Standing room only in the lighthouse I see. :-)

29 Aug 2009 1:44am

@Steven: That's the sky in the background; not the horizon. The photograph is perfectly level.

Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, Canada
