There is a sealion rookery at Cape Arago. There were hundreds of sea lions hauled out on the rocks. You can hear them from a long, long way off. These two showing off seemed appropriate for Silly Tuesday.

CREATIVITY - John Paul Caponigro on his blog yesterday had an outstanding 19 min. video on creativity by Elizabeth Gilbert of "Eat, Pray, Love" fame. I commend it to you http://www.johnpaulcaponigro.com/blog/?p=1270 (if for no other reason to get you thinking more about creativity).

Gary Hart from California, United States

Great capture. They're certainly not camera shy, are they? (They're probably looking skyward to figure out that warm, bright disk they've never seen.)

7 Sep 2009 5:46pm

@Gary Hart: True, it's not California. But we just might get more sunshine than you do on the Coast in the summer. What happens here is that the fog often comes in and out all day. Sealions are great fun. Thanks for the visit.
