BUMMED OUT. Three weeks ago, I sent my incredible Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 lens to Nikon service. It was binding when I turned the zoom ring; you can see striation marks on the extended barrel. Yesterday afternoon, I got it back. If anything, it is worse. I am really bummed out. Our photo guild has a major trip to Eastern Oregon the middle of October. I fear I may still be dealing with this.

I can thoroughly understand your disappointment about your lens. I agree with Nicholas, make more noise. It may get better results.
You've given me inspiration to post some B&W, I hope you don't mind I've added a link to your blog on my Friday's post. '
Thanks!

StarCosmosBleu from Bedford.Qc, Canada

Wonderful shot...to bad for the lens..but if you are really stuck chack out Adorama.com..they got a fine selection of used lens...very good quality...i bought one and never regretted it...

21 Sep 2009 4:28pm

@StarCosmosBleu: The lens, which is very expensive, is under warranty; so they will need to either fix it or replace it. I feel certain that it will get resolved, but I am impatient.
