Well it wasn't the last rose of summer.

Yes, I've had that surprise, too, this summer--- both with Roses and with Hydrangeas. Glad for us that it wasn't the last of yours...these are rather light and lively! Wouldn't have wanted to miss them. :-)

A very nice color gradient in this rose that you have captured as opposed to a single-color rose. It seems to emphasize the rose's delicateness.
