Light in the Dark Forest

Posted by
john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 21 December 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

On this cold December day, almost no sunlight penetrated the Old Growth Forest. Seeing the sunlight on these branches was like getting a shot of adrenaline.

"Taking a Break" - the title for yesterday's photograph was for the photograph, not for me. What I am contemplating is not posting something every day and being more discriminating in what I put up. To post every day necessarily means that the quality is going to be uneven. Right now I have a backlog of photographs that I want to post on Am3.

Great all these subtle shades of green that more dark plus clear to create even a green that would not exist! sublime!

@Mathilde Collot: Merci. I know the green branch to which you refer. It is the light filtering deep into the forest that created that color; it wasn't done in post-processing.
