Never does family mean more than at this time of the year. I look upon the Aminus3 community as a major part of my extended family.

23 Dec 2009 9:50am

@Florence: Thank you, Florence. I had photographs for the 24th and the 25th and was looking for something for today; this one popped out. For me, what I find in the natural world becomes metaphors for everything.

How lovely words, Jack. My family is so far away from me, and at this time of the year I do not feel well , wishing to be so close to them ... And yes, Am3 friends are every day with me too and I feel the same as you . And you , you are this first and very special friend I feel so close to me, and I thank you so much for that ....This gorgeous picture is such a beautiful illustration of your words :))

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

Well said Jack, amazing how one hobby can bind so many together!

23 Dec 2009 6:03pm

@Curly: Before Am3, I'm afraid to say that I was a bit condescending toward Internet social networking. Now because I have received so much, I feel ashamed of myself.

23 Dec 2009 10:30pm

Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States

So does this mean we're all fungii???? Seriously, I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiment, and no need for you to feel ashamed about your earlier feelings......Live and learn, right???? Very happy holidays to you and yours!!!

23 Dec 2009 11:07pm

@Susan: Thanks, Susan. Being drawn up short by my earlier attitude toward social networking reminds me of how careful one needs to be about being judgmental of anything. If you want to fantasize, just fantasize what the world would be like if there were no judgmentalism (I'm not talking about making judgments, but about being judgmental).

Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States

wouldn't it be a wonderful world, if no one was judgemental? we can always dream.....
