Solarized Torii

Posted by
john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 19 January 2010 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

This involved much more than simply applying the Solarized preset in Silver Efex. I spent a fair amount of time getting the "look" that I was seeking. Please note: I realize that there are a lot of people who don't like this kind of processing. Personally, the more I worked with it, the more it grew on me. Happy Silly Tuesday everyone.

UPDATE - My illness got much worse over the weekend. I'm on antibiotics and narcotic pain killers. Thank you for your concern.

I agree, I like the look,
and I know that it isn't a matter of just hitting the preset in Silver Effects.
You have to take a lot of creative steps to get a good image. Keep it up, Jack.
(Darn...not good news about your health. But sounds like you are getting treatment. Good Luck !)

Lovely image that brings me to the memory of some drawings made with ink. It is a particular visual effect of this picture ... ele silver effect and the look of an artist to compose a beautiful drawing in space of the forest! Thanks Jack! and kisses! Adela

Continue to get well friend! I really like this. I can see how some may not like the effect, however, I see another form of art that is created from your photography. Very well done, very creative, and another form of processing I should like to explore in the future.

I agree it can be an individual like or dislike. Personally I find this very appealing with interesting patterns and textures. The image is perfect for this processing.

My apologies I'm just realizing that you have been ill. I hope you get a grip on what is ailing you and feel better soon.
