Dawson Lumber Mill

Posted by
john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 31 January 2010 in Business & Industry and Portfolio.

This was on the way from the Finley Wildlife Reserve to Alsea Falls (where we got drenched). For fun, I decided to apply onOne's Holga preset in PhotoTools. This concludes the series. (That sky portends the steady rain we experienced at Alsea Falls. See January 16.)

Great color and a little bit of history. What a wonderful combination. I did get a chuckle that there is actually a Holga preset out there. I love the camera but had no idea they took it a step further.

@Stinkbug Photography: With Holga cameras being popular, you just knew there would be presets.

Good Holga effect Jack, in fact it probably looks better than the one in Nik Silver Efex, which I find is far too heavy.

I just checked further about Finley Wildlife Reserve, such an interesting place to discover and capture wildlife. They even have a photographer's blind you can reserve.

31 Jan 2010 3:11pm

@Barbara: The trail to the blind was incredibly muddy that Friday; so we skipped it. Besides, you need a reservation in winter; guess they don't want the trail all torn up.
