On a rainy Saturday, I decided to do some macro shots of lilies in Ellie's anniversary flowers. This one seemed appropriate for Valentine's Day. Others will be posted later in the month. I used Live View for all of the shots. It is a major asset for macro work. In the first three shots, I added grain in LR3 Beta. I am finding that I pretty much have abandoned LR2 for LR3. If you are not using Lightroom and have any interest in it, you should be trying out LR3 Beta; it's free for another couple of months.
@Mirza Ahmad: Not a huge difference, but a noticeable difference. The Import function is way better. The Develop Module creates better colors; plus the Sharpening, the Noise Reduction and the Vignetting are better. You can add subtle (or not so subtle) Grain in LR3. The composites that you can create in the Print Module is a big leap forward. Since it is free right now, I would recommend trying it out.
@Hiro: I just like a touch of grain for its effect.
@Gary: Thanks. I moved it from where it was originally going to go because of today.
@Diane Schuller: Thanks, Diane. Thus far, I have had no glitches with the Beta version.
@bekkah: Wonderful day!
