This dilapidated barn seemed an appropriate subject for Silly Tuesday.
A strong thunderstorm is crossed there???
A special centring for this old house!!!

What an interesting barn! I really like the light on the grass and the shutters of the barn. Great photo.
16 Feb 2010 5:41am
Wonderfully composed Jack!! I like that luminous green in the foreground!!
16 Feb 2010 5:49am
Another fabulous shot! Happy ST :))
I'm doing fine but lately I'm experiencing lack of "creative mind" :( I hope to be back with some fresh new images for my AM3 friends soon! :))
16 Feb 2010 6:11am
It looks so new and solid but for that part of the roof..as if a tornado ran through.
16 Feb 2010 6:46am
More sad than silly, me thinks. It's hard to imagine that someone would let a relatively modern barn deteriorate like that.
16 Feb 2010 7:07am
have to agree with Susan looks like a tornado has hit the roof
16 Feb 2010 7:13am
Yup, the barn needs a little work,
but the photo is perfect ! Great job !
16 Feb 2010 7:34am
very big barn... wonderful shot..
16 Feb 2010 8:45am
Too bad barn in ruins. A good theme for Tuesday but a disgrace to us. It hurts to see a beautiful building destroyed and abandoned! A good point of view and a wonderful high key, master Jack? Many kisses for the "Silly Tuesday"! Adela
16 Feb 2010 8:59am
And yet the grass is still green around : love the constrast !
16 Feb 2010 9:15am
A superb framing and beautiful colors !
16 Feb 2010 9:31am
Lovely shot! I like the contrast and composition. Happy ST!
16 Feb 2010 9:44am
It looks that it knew better times. Great shot.
16 Feb 2010 9:49am

16 Feb 2010 9:50am
Sad !! not silly.Good capture..
16 Feb 2010 10:17am
It needs urgent work!!
16 Feb 2010 10:21am
It will blow away in a strong wind. Nice documentary shot.
16 Feb 2010 10:58am
What a shame the roof didn't hold up; the barn doesn't look that old.
Nice composition of it!
16 Feb 2010 1:48pm
Beautiful green grass . Great compo .
16 Feb 2010 3:20pm
Even this modern, metal barn is in serious trouble. Barns seem to be disappearing at a speedy rate. Nice shot of the current state of this one.
16 Feb 2010 3:37pm
Il y a un urgent travail de toiture à faire ! bien vu , belle compo !
16 Feb 2010 3:49pm
a wonderful capture
16 Feb 2010 3:50pm
Great composition and colour tone. I like the green grass!
16 Feb 2010 4:02pm
This barn looks too new to be so run down. I would be watching this one in the next big wind storm. Nice shot.
16 Feb 2010 4:10pm
Great shot, Jack!! Me thinks a wind storm for sure, eh?
16 Feb 2010 4:13pm
Ah, there is such beauty in her demise Jack. Fabulous composition with the foreground grass leading us through the detail of the fence towards the old girl. Beautifully captured
16 Feb 2010 4:17pm
beautiful colors ! great compo !
16 Feb 2010 4:24pm
It does need a little work. A super shot.
16 Feb 2010 5:35pm
very great capture and compo
16 Feb 2010 5:48pm
Great POV Jack.... love the contrast of colors
16 Feb 2010 6:15pm
The barn so well positioned in the frame, with the roof/sky drawing a well defined space - well done
16 Feb 2010 6:36pm
Learned a new english word ...(dilapidated...;-))
Very nice compo!
16 Feb 2010 7:23pm
Estate Agents would say "renovator's dream". LOL - nevertheless another great shot .
16 Feb 2010 7:26pm
looks like it was a great building!!
16 Feb 2010 7:55pm
Definitely a holey place.
16 Feb 2010 8:23pm
the color is fantastic ,great clarity ,jack !
16 Feb 2010 8:28pm
Such a great shot Jack. There really is nothing more cool than old old barn.
16 Feb 2010 8:31pm
terrefic and great shot
16 Feb 2010 9:57pm
Seem funny that someone would spend the money on all that metal siding and roofing and then let it blow away. That is silly! Cool shot.
16 Feb 2010 10:01pm
Dilapidated by wind ?
Excellent, love light.
16 Feb 2010 10:17pm
Abandon .... Triste !... Joli cliché
16 Feb 2010 10:53pm
Nicely composed with it off center and and the barbed wire gives nice depth. That's quite a large barn as well. If that's dilapidated, then I have a real winner for next Tuesday's entry; about 75% of the framing is exposed. :-) I like Steve Rice's reasoning above.
17 Feb 2010 12:17am
Great shot, and i agree, more sad than silly......clarity is awesome....wonder if they'd had a storm come thru recently, that pulled it apart???
17 Feb 2010 12:25am
@Susan: I don't have any idea. It obviously is not that old.
Another superb capture. I really like the composition
17 Feb 2010 12:50am
I love this barn! Yours was the first blog I saw before joining Aminus. It's what made me decide to join. Your pictures are beautiful!
17 Feb 2010 12:53am
@Bettina: Thank you so much; you are very kind.
That looks quite huge... I don't know how this can be maintained. Needs lots of work.
17 Feb 2010 1:32am
Shae to see such a grand barn falling apart like that , but super shot of it
17 Feb 2010 1:34am
What on earth happened here? The siding looks newer, but the barn is a wreck. Unusual image to say the least!
17 Feb 2010 1:58am
The sharpness of the image made it work. Interesting subject
17 Feb 2010 2:09am
Great grunge! You know it might be good in sepia too given its state of decay. Just.. kinda nudging it over the edge of disrepair. :)
17 Feb 2010 2:25am
great find jack what a great place for a shoot
17 Feb 2010 2:36pm
Seem,s it got a wind storm on this one....
25 Feb 2010 5:54pm
