Gong

Let's take a little break from flowers (although I have lots of them to put up). I love big bells like this. This is in front of the Convention Center in Portland. I took it when I was at the "Photoshop CS4 for Photographers" workshop last month. It is a memorial for something, but I can't remember what.

This is great. Nice change, too, Jack, but so different from the close up flowers. Interesting Gong.

At the bell he smokes! One intriguing explanation Jack ... thanks for updating us! In the image I see a strange construction. Strong columns, a transparent roof and amid the bell. Powerful image after your precious flowers. I like the photographer's point of view! You can invent a story and illustrate it with your photo. Many kisses Jack!

Looks like you had such a beautiful day when you shot this and such a super shot of this interesting bell, and I have no idea why I am thinking this but must have seen it or read something about it sometime but I believe this is donation from Saporro Japan and is called a friendship bell, I believe Portland and Sapporo are sister city's

Have a good weekend

Oh darn, I just read the message on your blog that said you were taking a sabbatical.
I'm upset...to me you are such an inspiration, as well as a resource,
and truly part of the "backbone" of the AM3 Photoblog site.
I just hate to see you leave us for any length of time.
I will miss your great good spirit and your skilled photos and your comments.
Hope all is resolved SOON !!!
My best to you, Dulcie
