Atop the Convention Center

I haven't a clue as to the function, if any, of this, but it certainly looks neat. I purposely didn't realign anything; when I tried that, it looked boring to me. You may notice that Spring had not come to Portland in mid-February.

THANKS TO JJ, I found out that yesterday's shot was of the Friendship Bell from Sapporo, Japan, Portland's sister city.

SABBATICAL - For personal reasons, I am taking a sabbatical from Aminus 3, effective immediately. I have photographs in the system to post through March 18. I wish you joy in your personal and photographic journeys.

It is an interesting structure. Maybe it is just for looks. Cool shot.

You've beautifully caught the light through this structure. It rather sparkles, doesn't it?
I hope you are able to come online and know that we are with you, Jack....

The function of this building I have clear ... built it for you! Its function is to give pleasure to your eyes! A daring and original composition. a first term that seems to cover with dissimulation! The textures of the tower of fragile glass) combined with the solid wall is very interesting. I like the tree! Have a nice day friend Jack! Many kisses!

Very stark picture...very well composed and a lovely colour sky!

I like the composition and this interesting piece of architecture. It resembles the shape of a skyscraper but appears to be just part of the buildings design. If they ever want to go green they could fill it with solar panels.
Wishing you well, Jack during your time away.

Love the blues, it is an interesting tower thingy, looks more artistic than functional to me

Enjoy your sabbatical, hope its for a good reason and all is well with you

Great image. What makes it so special is the tree branches you left in. You could have easily left them out, but they reach with such tenderness and subtle beauty, up against the stark modern spire of the top of the building.
