20 Jun 2010 1:27pm

Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States

beautiful again.......why do I not want my camera to get wet??????

20 Jun 2010 1:53pm

@Susan: Lots of people use a motel shower cap. I have a cheapo rain cover and a super expensive rain cover. Guess which one I use!

Don from spokane, United States

A beautiful job of framing the falls and using the visitors as an intrigral part of the image. Very welll done.

20 Jun 2010 2:17pm

@Don: They actually are a part of our workshop group.

B.Held from Santa Fe, United States

20 Jun 2010 2:30pm

MARIANA from Waterloo, Canada

Super shot . Great to see colleagues being busy and shoting :)

20 Jun 2010 2:31pm

Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States

Geez....how come I didn't think of that?????? Will have to now pack a shower cap, and well as a plastic bag.....in the bag when I go out!!!! How much rain can a dslr actually take?????

20 Jun 2010 2:34pm

@Susan: The more expensive the camera, the better the seals. A shower cap tends to keep all but a few drops off. I also use an umbrella some of the time; this works fine when the camera is on a tripod.

Bettina from Los Angeles, United States

Beautiful. You once said don't be afraid of weather. This is a perfect example. I love how you are shooting the shooters.

♏arleen from Netherlands

And with rain the greens are more vivid...;-)))
Wonderful scene!

20 Jun 2010 7:07pm

@♏arleen: Thank you. A big plus of rain is the way that it saturates the colors. Sometimes people think that it was done in post-processing, but it wasn't.

21 Jun 2010 3:02am

LauraS from Chico, United States

This shot looks like the falls are over "post-piles" (rock formation)? from a volcano? at some point in time? Do you know? I've never been there.

21 Jun 2010 3:02am

@LauraS: Don't have a clue.

I'm always afraid to go in the rain. Even if I managed to keep dry I heard the humidity isn't good? It's great you have a group to go out with. At some point I think I will see if there is such a thing here. I don't have the time right now.

25 Jun 2010 2:20am
