Dynamite Clouds #3

Posted by john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 16 November 2010 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

This is a 5 shot bracket, and the people were walking; the anti-ghosting feature is very nice. I reduced the Clarity and the Contrast in the clouds to make them look as I saw them.

Nikon D700 F/10.0 ISO 200 58 mm (35mm equiv.)

Iknow from Chengdu, China

Yep!real dynamite, and such stunning colors and tones here, that is a charming scene in mind!
best regards!

ValterD from Rennes, France

good job, the anti-ghosting has done a fabulous job, I guess that you have taken the shots in a fraction of second.

16 Nov 2010 7:49am

@ValterD: The shots were taken with a fast burst. However, the people were really moving out. The first time through the processing, the person on the right looked terrible. Then I upped the anti-ghosting to High.

Nazzareno from Rome, Italy

Fantastic processing! Nice composition and very beautiful colors

Excellent clarity. What does anti-ghosting do?

16 Nov 2010 6:45pm

@¨‘°ºO Dutçh Oº°‘¨: When you combine bracketed shots where people are moving, it eliminates the blur around the movement.

Craig from Vacaville, California, United States

Well done! Love that you were able to capture the moving target even with HDR! Cool!

16 Nov 2010 8:20pm

@Craig: This was done in HDR Efex, but PS CS5's HDR does the very best job of anti-ghosting. It simply selects one photograph as the base shot.

Richard from Montferland, Netherlands

Wonderful title and capture Jack!
