Along Oak Creek Road

Posted by john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 19 November 2010 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

This was a 5 shot bracket that was first rendered as an HDR in color. I find that HDR often is great for B&W photographs.

Very nice processing and very nice composition. This has taken on a bit of a sketch look, which I don't associate with HDR B&W, but it is certainly attractive.

Hiro from Kyoto, Japan

Nice poetic image. I want to learn this technique.

19 Nov 2010 11:39pm

@Hiro: Thank you. This one was somewhat complicated. First I created and HDR image from 5 bracketed shots in Nik's HDR Efex. There, I used a preset which I modified. Then I took it into Nik's Silver Efex and applied the Antique Plate II preset which I modified. The end result is what you see.

willow from Chelsea, United States

Hdr on the sepia or black tends to have an old time feel to it like film and long exposure. I like the results here though.. I agree with Judy you have a winner.
