Jack, I love the snow here. I am not sure if I would have included the tree trunk to the left - I go back and forth as to whether or not this works. The heaviness of it does pull my eye away from the wonderful lacy details of the rest of the scene. Hmmmm...the first snow is just lovely! Love seeing the brown beneath the white!

I've just done a similar one, and was disappointed by the high volume of snow that I captured, it made for quite a noisy looking image. Love the green and brown rustic tones in your image.
