14 Dec 2010 8:37am
@marci: max is a 7.5 mo. old puppy, who is not patient at all. beau was incredible patient and would just sit there while i photographed

You've inspired me Jack, I'm going on a fog jag here starting tomorrow. (Really not much choice, we've been fog bound for a week :)
I like the simplicity and the monochrome. Nice.
14 Dec 2010 3:12pm

14 Dec 2010 9:22pm
The images of mist and fog attract me much, they give the landscape of mystery and add sweetness to bring out the decorative elements. What a good choice for this photo, great shot, Jack.
14 Dec 2010 10:02pm
@Alivia: thank you. i couldn't agree more about the mist and the fog; it's one of the best parts of winter
Great tones and sphere!
14 Dec 2010 10:28pm
I'm glad you got to enjoy your walks together with Max. I miss my dogs. The fogs really draw me in, you have so many wonderfully foggy photos. I've not had too much chance to take those images yet and now with the snow I probably won't. If I am lucky though I might see another icebow this year. It was a full arch rainbow over the rising sun and .. like nothing I've ever seen before. Nicely taken here Jack!
14 Dec 2010 10:33pm
@¨‘°ºO Dutçh Oº°‘¨: Thanks. Beau when he was alive went with me everywhere. When I stopped to photograph, he just patiently sat there. Max being a 7.5 mo. old puppy is full of vim and vigor; however, he is a quick study and already after just a week with us likes to go.
very nice mood captured! nice choice of post processing
14 Dec 2010 10:42pm
Max will learn, in time, what his master expects of him, but at 7.5 mos, that's a lot to ask. <grin>
This is a wonderful foggy shot!
14 Dec 2010 10:47pm
I really love this one. What is it about bales of hay. Love the composition and then fog just finishes it along with the sepia tones.
14 Dec 2010 11:12pm
I love the fog and those round hay rolls (just like they make them in France).
This is a beauty...I'm glad Max is getting some good aesthetic outings.
He will grow up knowing beauty if he follows you around !! :-)
15 Dec 2010 12:15am
I love fog, this is a wonderful image. Beautiful capture.
15 Dec 2010 12:38am
@Terral: Thank you.
Terrific shot. The mist really works with the processing you used.
15 Dec 2010 3:54am
Tout comme moi, vous êtes fascinné par les meules que j'aime phtographier en toutes saisons. Beau travail !
16 Dec 2010 4:46pm
It's a great start! The mist gives nice atmosphere and mystery awaits us at every turn! I wish for you a long and very long walks photo with Max!
16 Dec 2010 6:10pm
@Mathilde Collot: max is a terrific companion
As a teen I used to run with my family dog, a cocker, Apollo. Then when I got married I had Ranger, a silver and black german shepard and dusty, an akita something mutt. Dusty passed three years ago around the time of my mom, Ranger before her. They really are like family members. I hope Max fills the space though he can't replace Beau.. he will fill your heart with love though.

@¨‘°ºO Dutçh Oº°‘¨: Thank you. Beau and I had a heart and soul connection. His death was the greatest loss that I have ever experienced in my 75 yrs. Max is wonderful. He is doing a great job of helping both Ellie and me heal.
