Morning Rain (Painterly)

Posted by
john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 1 February 2011 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

If rain gets you down, jazz things up a bit. I ran Sunday's photograph through Topaz's "Oil Painting" filter in Simplify. Then I added some stuff from the "Glamor Glow," "Tonal Contrast," and "Brilliance/Warmth" filters in Nik's Color Efex. Finally I added a frame from onOne's PhotoFrame.

NIKON D700 1/125 second F/8.0 ISO 800 44 mm (35mm equiv.)

wow .. crazy but fun!!! :)) you love to experiment and that's such a great quality!!! you can learn a lot!!!

1 Feb 2011 5:22am

@sunstone_maria: When I do this sort of thing, I feel much freer and far less constricted than normal. My perfectionistic tendencies go right out of the window :))

Haha-I'm surprised with all that editing that it's turned out so well. You must have used a gentle touch rather than simply cranking all the faders to the right. It works well
