COMPARING - when I ask people to compare different versions of a photograph, the response almost always is a split. This reaffirms my belief that each of us must determine for ourselves what best expresses our vision and voice.

It should always be about your person eye. If you try to please others and not yourself, your photos will often suffer. In my opinion.

The air shaft. He who gathers momentum and grows. Now without wings. Fell in the cold. Imagine your life now friend. A life that beats within. Teach your old friend in the snowy picture and imagine it reborn shortly. Then covered small green wings that quiver in the wind. A tree is now a visual poetry. A work of art painted on a blank canvas for an experienced hand ... God's! Magnifica thank you very much for teaching your old friend! Best regards, Adela

@Adela Fonts: you are the poet, my dear

Wonderfully processed and yes, the little bit of color gives it life! It looks like that is mistletoe in the top of the tree; we have here in our oaks also.

I love the "finges and tinges" of gold and brown! That just makes the image even better...the detail on this tree is awesome, Jack! I like the nature of the limbs going every whaich way! Beautiful detail!

Steven from Chicagoland, United States

A cute caption to this post. This tree presents a lot of nice textures here. It's amazing how much the subtle colors "pop" here. Are those red berries I see in the bottom right and bottom far left?

9 Mar 2011 6:27pm

@Steven: Indeed they are. Well seen. Our winter has been quite mild. This was the only snow which fell in and around town.

I agree totally with your comment.
While this tree may have been around before, what you have done with it this time
really works. Your images are outstanding with the process you use. I actually found myself looking
at Nik Software recently.
