Oregon Coast Icon

Posted by john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 30 March 2011 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach is an Oregon Coast icon. I tend to be leery of photographing icons. They have been photographed so many times that they can become cliches. However, Cannon Beach with my son was where I was last week; so this is the first in a series of a marvelous seastack that has to be wearied from being photographed so often.

Ah, I think that Haystack Rock is probably pleased to be so admired...I mean, there he is gazing lovingly at his own image in the water. Probably loves all the adoration from others, too. ;-)
