iPad App

More and more people are taking photographs with their iPhones and applying in-phone applications (there are tons of applications) to them. Duck Island Guy http://duckislandguy.aminus3.com/image/2011-06-18.html introduced me to this process. He is doing some amazing stuff. The basis for my post today is the photograph that I posted on May 25. I used the ArtistaHaiku App in my iPad2 for the processing. After applying the App, no further processing was done. Duck Island Guy's series made clear to me that the original capture is critical; there is no substitute for a good capture. At this point, although I find this great fun, it probably won't become a major part of my journey. BUT, you never know:))

We completely agree! Many professional photographers or not they've taken these photographs for me are not. I think my watercolors or oils my coals or my ... if you can do so because they destroy a good picture ... Manifesgtaciones sonbaes different artists. Each has its charms! I definitely am left with photography and painting or drawing but separately. Say something interesting in the bottom of an application there is always a good photographic image ... Tomorrow I upload a photo image manipulated with PS that would not be the same without the picture on the bottom! Maybe I like you also end up working with this news ... Who knows!! A hug friend! Besos y abrazos de siempre y sin aplicaciones locas... Adela

An interesting creation Jack! I personally think that we are starting to blur the line betweeen graphic art and photography with these apps! Time to start calling a spade a spade! ;-)

@Eric Cousineau: I agree with you up to a point. However, I would prefer to see this sort of thing to many of the, what for me are, snapshots that appear on the blog. I filter out what seems to me to be more appropriate for family and friends.

A fine shot with tasteful manipulation. The result is a very attractive pattern shot that is very appealing.

Wow, Jack you are really blowing my mind here. This is fascinating, and I had to go back to see your original, which I remember loving. Now this abstraction. It is so interesting. SO you got me off and visiting the work of Duck Island Guy, and I am amazed by his stuff. So thank you so much! Happy Father's Day, too!

Yes, have this app on my iP4. It works well blended back with the original in Iris or other blending app too. Fun !
