Church Abstract

For me, the right side makes the photograph. I need Tony's input as to what caused that to happen. There is a great deal to learn about in-camera multiple exposure technique if you want to have a modicum of control of the outcome. My results are to a large degree a surprise (which I actually like).

NIKON D300 1/160 second F/7.1 ISO 200 129 mm (35mm equiv.)

Is this technique written up anywhere?

@CElliottUK: Everything that I have used can be found in Tony Sweet's book on flower photography. I am certain that you can find this on the UK Amazon site. He also has an excellent video on flower photography.

I love a wonderful surprise. Back in the film days, I would get a pleasant surprise once in a while after receiving slides back from the lab.

As I am totally uneducated in this field, I'll just take an emotional stab and say that it may have something to do with the color and/or the shape (I am talking about your liking of the right side)...For me, I like the color purple over there on the left...and the shapes in that region...(I also like the movie by the same name). This is a beautiful piece, Jack...

One good reason to have either a Nikon, Sony, or Pentax cam! These are fun and love these blues.

I like the combination of swirls and lines in this one - oddly enough, it somehow reminds me of the pillows on my grandmother's sofa, many years ago!
