Interruption

Posted by john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 23 November 2011 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

I'm interrupting my October workshop series for a couple of shots from our trip to Sun River in the High Desert. This is along the Deschutes River. (These next few shots crystallized what I believe is true for me. When it comes to photography, I am more invested in the journey than the destination. Although I like creating fine photographs, it is the creating, not the results, that is my passion.)

A beautiful shot of this high dessert country.
Great minds think alike, and all that. Today, my shot is on the Deschutes, too.
When I visit my sister, they are a mile or so south of Sun River...do you know the Vandevert Ranch ?

@DULCIE: Thanks. No to the Ranch; I know very little about that area.

I like your philosophy on photography. I enjoy the creative process the most too... composing images is like putting a fun puzzle together... but also love the places my camera takes me. By far my least favorite aspect of photography is spending hours in front of the computer processing images. By the way, you have some great places to visit in your neck of the woods :^)

@Doug Hickok: Thanks. Great places indeed.
