Beautifully done! I love the way photography can be such a wonderful way to learn about life, ourselves, and how we walk in this world.....This is a powerful metaphor, and it is so great that everyone is interpreting it in their own way! I see a great man, among family and friends, aging with grace and beauty! (We should all be so lucky!) Here's to a wonderful Winter filled with the magic of living.

I get the metaphor: a bit crinkled but all the parts are still there! :-) This is an excellent capture of the details and veins in this over-the-hill leaf. Well done.

Anita from West Nottingham, Pennsylvania, United States

Nice image. Interesting metaphor. Since winter is not my favorite season, I don't think of my aging years as winter--too depressing. :-)

11 Jan 2012 9:51pm

@Anita: I think that winter can have an amazing beauty, especially if there is snow. It is more simple and spare in the woods. And it is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. All of the seasons (and this is true of life as well) have their inherent beauty.

Marie from FRESNES, France

joli !
