Monet #2

Posted by
john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 30 May 2012 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

This second photograph in the series uses a very different technique than the one for yesterday's post. For this one, I used an aperture of f/32 and a shutter speed of 1/8 sec. As I pressed the shutter button, I held the camera steady briefly so that there would be a definable image (this is key). Then while the shutter was open, I dragged the camera downward. This is very tricky and I had lots of failures at first. But one does get better at it. Again, very little processing.

NIKON D700 1/8 second F/32.0 ISO 160 105 mm (35mm equiv.)

Das ist sehr gut geworden. So ein Effekt kostete früher 1 bis 2 Diafilme und meistens kein vernünftiges Ergebnis.
