@Curly: Here is what I am posting tomorrow. This technique was the result of having a way underexposed photograph. In Lightroom 4, I moved the Exposure slider way to the right; this did most of the heavy lifting. Then I bumped Clarity way up, added a little Vibrance and a little Contrast. That was pretty much it. The message to me was: sometimes when it looks like you have a disaster, you very well might have a valuable gift. The pros tend to push the sliders around like crazy.

@Moein: Please read my response to Curly; it tells what I did. When I moved the Exposure slider to the extreme, it eliminated the detail in the sky and created this white background.
