Tripod - YES!

Posted by john4jack (Corvallis, Oregon, United States) on 18 October 2013 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

I need to do better. Is it because I am lazy? :-)

I never ever ever carry a tri-pod even though I forced myself to buy one. I still don't take it with me. Must both be lazy.

Strangely, I use a tripod only in the studio . . old habits are often unexplainable !

First off - this is a really cool shot and beautiful to boot - I love the reflection and perspective, Jack....I have a Monopod AND a Tripod - a nice ne too...I take my tripod, no one else has one...I DON'T take my tripod...everybody has one...I take my Monopod and use it alot and I have used my Tripod and am extremely happy with the results...I hand hold alot but I have to say those times I used a tripod can sure be seen...Cheers sir - that's my 25 cents..

Beautiful landscape that you've captured with contrasting colors!! I love how it wraps around the water. I always bring my tripod, but then rarely use it. I then say to myself, "Well at least your arm is getting a workout." :-)

The landscape is very serene with beautiful features. A tripod gives you the best technical image, but adds to the load and trouble. I've never used a monopod.

Wonderful colors and details. I don't usually like photos of photographers taking photos, but this adds life and scale to your landscape.
